Rehan Allahwala Course no 1 | Lec. 01 | Course Introduction

Hi everyone, my name is Rayhan Allahwala and I have been teaching people online a lot of things including social media communication, how to use social media for a better purpose and recently I have organized all this into a course called the course one as simple as number one. So this is a course which I think that everyone living in the 21st century should do, especially adults and young ones who are not really friendly with social media or they don't really understand the power of social media and what can they do for positively using this social media. On top of that, we teach in this course how to take advantage of all the AI tools that are coming in. This course is being re-recorded in 2024, so we are going to plug in some basic AI tools which are available today for this course so that people who are doing this course are kind of making a habit of using AI in their daily lives. We're also going to touch building confidence and communication through the internet so that people who are not used to doing online meetings and coming online and making videos on YouTube or being on an internet just like that, this course will help you come out of your comfort zone and allow you to become a global citizen, which we all are but we don realize it This course will also help you become a global citizen because I will encourage you in this course to connect with people from all around the planet so that they can understand you better and you can understand them better That the purpose of this course So this course is based on my life's journey on Facebook and on social media for the last 15 to 20 years. I created my own social media online in 1999 which is way before YouTube and Facebook existed but it didn't really work out it was too early so today I'm here giving you all my learnings about Facebook about LinkedIn about online media about AI about making connections through this course and we call it course number one before you'd want to learn anything else from me or any online teacher I strongly recommend you to do this because it will help you, you know, literally enter into a new world, which you will realize only after doing this. A lot of things, a lot of exercises in this course might not look like to you that they're really important. And the reason you think that is because nobody ever told you why they're important. But I will try to explain you everything. If you trust me, just do it. If you don't trust me, listen to it again and again and if you still don't trust me then don't do this course. I have over 12,000 videos on YouTube. Let me give you a small little bio of mine. I am 51 years old. I have over 12,000 videos on the internet. I have written over 30 books. I have a PhD in failing. I say that in a funny way because I have over 150 startups which I have majority of them did not succeed So I learned a lot through this journey And I have actually done lived as a resident in seven different countries and done businesses in these countries. So I was able to learn how different cultures work and how do they look at other cultures when they are in another culture. So I was a foreigner in seven countries and I became a local and then I became a foreigner again. That gives me a very unique perspective on life. And I have around 14 million followers on Facebook. That's my primary space. People ask me, where do I live? I tell them I live on Facebook. You can come and find me there. So this course has really helped a lot of people, hundreds of people, which I know of personally. I did an experiment called 500 mutual friend experiment. There's an old experiment, social experiment, which was that you are the sum of your five best friends. And I wanted to see that does that same philosophy work on social media? And I did an experiment where I gave out a free laptop to anyone who would take my 500 Facebook friends and then talk to them, connect with them. And this course basically is kind of like an essence of all the learning which I went through this process. And I found that 90 percent people actually changed because they had new friends. Their entire newsfeed changed and they really became a new version a better version of themselves which was hyper connected globally connected had a multiple perspective on life And it was the life was no longer how they thought it was They were living in a small little pond and I helped them get into the ocean where you will realize that ocean is three of the planet whereas even in the entire mass on the planet is only one-fourth of the planet. You will have a book about this course which you can buy and do this course. I call this the foundation level for anything if you want to earn or learn from the internet. If you haven't really done this, it'll be very hard for you to learn from the internet, take advantage of the internet. There might be other teachers who are teaching other ways, but this is what I have discovered as the best way of going forward. I also run a school system where this is required to be taken before we start studying of anything else. So this is our foundation level course, which, again, I highly recommend you to do this and pass it on to other people who you think are not able to take advantage of the Internet yet. in this course we teach you basically it will help you see yourself it's a more guided tour than a course it will allow you to reflect on yourself on your experiences on your past on your beliefs on everything you ever did in your life it will help you see the mirror many, many, many, many times as you move forward.
